Indian Embassy Advisory For Indians in Israel Amid Middle East Tension Between Iran-Israel Over Hamas Chief Ismail Haniyeh Death


Iran-Israel Tension: Tension has increased between the two major countries of the Middle East, Iran and Israel. Iran and its supported extremist organization Hezbollah have said that they will take revenge for the killing of Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh and top Hezbollah leaders. Israel killed Hezbollah commander Fuad Shukar in Lebanon’s capital Beirut on Tuesday. This attack was carried out in response to the rockets fired by Hezbollah on the occupied Golan Heights last week.

Then the news came that Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh has been killed in Iran’s capital Tehran. Israel was said to be involved in this murder. However, officially Israel has only taken the responsibility of killing Fuad Shukar. Due to these incidents, there is a danger of the Middle East burning once again. Due to this, the tension of Indians living in Gulf countries has also increased. The Indians living in Israel and Iran are the most worried.

Advice given to Indians living in Israel-Lebanon

In view of the increasing tension in the Middle East, India and many other countries have advised to be cautious while traveling here. Following the increasing tension in the region, Indian citizens in Israel have been asked to remain alert and follow security protocols. This instruction for Indian citizens in Israel comes a day after the Indian Embassy in Beirut advised citizens not to travel to Lebanon until further notice. The embassy has also advised them to leave Lebanon.

Biden expressed concern about the increasing tension

Air India also yesterday suspended its flights to and from Tel Aviv, Israel with immediate effect till August 8. US President Joe Biden said late Thursday that he was concerned about the rising tensions in the region. He said that Haniya’s killing has not improved the situation.

Sources close to Hezbollah said Iranian officials met in Tehran on Wednesday with representatives of a so-called axis of several factions, all of which are backed by Tehran and have a deep hatred for Israel, to discuss the next steps.
